The Siddheswar
College was established in the year 1980 as a leading College in
North Balasore and was recognized and approved by the Government
of Odisha Vide letter No.13507/EYS, Dt.17-03-1981 and No. 48633/EYS,Dt.
20-11-1981 with the affiliation to both Council of Higher
Secondary Education, Odisha and Utkal University Bhubaneswar
vide letter No.20611-A-9757, Dt. 31-03-1982.. Subsequently the
college was affiliated to Fakir Mohan University, Balasore,
Odisha. The College is also accredited by National Assessment
and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore with C+ + grade with
effect from 2006. The territorial jurisdiction of the institute
covers the bordering areas of both Balasore and Mayurbhanj
districts of Northern part of Odisha with a sizable number of
inhabitants belonging to the scheduled tribes. There are +2 ,
Degree and Vocational wings of the institute catering to the
demand of higher education in the area. Myriad developments
depend crucially upon human resource, Siddheswar College beacons
light of knowledge to this region to pull up the underprivileged
youth to the national mainstream to the domain of arts, science,
commerce and technology.
